SIX KENDALL SC ALUMNI VYING FOR A SPOT IN THE FINAL FOUR OF THE 20008 COLLEGE CUP
December 6, 2008 – The four spots in the 2008 NCAA Men’s College Cup will be determined today with the winners of the four quarterfinal matches advancing to the national Division 1 semifinals. The four matches feature six alumni of Kendall SC who hope to keep alive their hopes of a national championship.

One quarterfinal match features 5th-ranked St. John’s against 12th-ranked Indiana. Suiting up for the Red Storm will be freshmen Cristian Gonzalez (F) and Pablo Punyed (M).

The match between 17th-ranked Northwestern and 23rd-ranked University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill features three former members of Kendall SC: Misha Rosenthal, who earned second team All-Big 10 honors playing goalkeeper for the Wildcats as a Junior, and seniors Garry Lewis (M) and Brian Shriver (F), who play for the Tar Heels. Shriver earned first team All-ACC honors for his play this season.

The final former member of Kendall SC in the quest for the College Cup is goalkeeper Diego Restrepo, who plays for 8th-ranked University of South Florida. The Big East Champions will face Wake Forest on Saturday.
