December 1, 2009 – The retooled Kendall SC U14B White team won its first ever championship when they claimed the title in the Gold Division at this year’s edition of the Plantation Thanksgiving Classic. Coupled by a fast start in the SFUYSA regular season, the boys are poised for a strong season. Joining them in reaching the finals of the tournament were the U9B White, U12B White, and U15B Blue.

The undefeated run of the U14B White included a 2-1 win over Plantation FC Copa, a 3-1 victory over West Pines United Gold and a 2-2 tie with Royal Palm Beach Strikers in the preliminary round, affording them first place by a two-point margin and a ticket to the Final. In their second meeting against the tournament hosts, Kendall SC left no margin for error with a convincing 6-0 decision to claim the championship trophy.
The U9B White team had a very strong showing in the Gold Division of the tournament, winning three games in the preliminary round by a combined score of 18-2. They defeated Team Boca White (5-0), Miramar Strikers Premier (4-0), and Ft. Lauderdale Select Blue (9-2) before losing 1-3 to Weston FC Barcelona in the Final.
Meanwhile the U12B White won their group in the Blue Division with wins over Miramar Strikers (4-1) and Cooper City Cobras Premier (4-0), and a tie against Weston FC Total 90, and went on to defeat Team Boca 3-1 in the semifinal match. Unfortunately, in the Final the Island Coast Soccer team lived up to their Dominators moniker, scoring a 6-0 victory.
